About Our Founder Leah Bryant, Founder and Executive Director of L & E Middle Prep Academy, has spent more than 25 years inspiring students to believe in themselves and reach their highest potential. Her mission is simple yet powerful: to create a school where every child feels seen, supported, and challenged to grow — academically, socially, and creatively. At L & E Middle Prep Academy, we believe middle school can be a time of academic excellence, confidence, and personal growth. Our school provides a safe and inclusive environment where students thrive, lead, and discover who they are meant to be. L & E Middle Prep Academy was founded in honor of Leah’s late parents, Lee and Ernestine Bobo, whose lives embodied service, entrepreneurship, and grace. Their legacy continues to inspire the academy’s mission to help every student Lead, Excel, and Create. Her father, Lee Bobo, was a devoted husband and father, a respected businessman, and a local city councilman who served as president on numerous community boards to improve the lives of families in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Both Lee and Ernestine were devoted members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where their faith guided their service and compassion for others. Her mother, Ernestine Bryant, was an entrepreneur and interior decorator who modeled strength, creativity, and warmth while raising four daughters and building a thriving design business. A Leader in Education and Innovation, Leah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Florida and has taught in both public and private schools across the U.S. She has an extensive background in developing ELA curriculum for grades K–8, ensuring that students receive engaging, high-quality instruction designed to spark curiosity and confidence. Under her leadership, L & E Middle Prep Academy blends core academics with STEM, entrepreneurship, and the arts — creating a nurturing environment that values inclusion, creativity, and hands-on learning. Students are encouraged to think critically, lead boldly, and learn with purpose. Beyond the Classroom Leah is also the Creator and Executive Producer of The Indie Style with Leah DeVon Global Streaming Network, which celebrates independent entrepreneurs, and successful independent professionals from around the world. Her work has earned international recognition, including being a two-time Women in Media Award nominee at the WinTrade Global Awards in London, England. The Heart of L & E Prep Leah believes that education is not one-size-fits-all. Her leadership is guided by the belief that excellence is not a single achievement, but a daily practice — one that helps students grow with confidence, empathy, and purpose.
